Desert Radiology Explains 2021 Holiday Philanthropic Campaign to Support 25 Local Charities Over The Holiday Season
With so much of our history rooted in Southern Nevada’s local community, we at Desert Radiology are always looking for ways to give back to the community that has given us so much. Whether it be through providing cost-free imaging services to organizations that aid those without healthcare or forging quality relationships with others who are philanthropic, it is our mission to improve the lives of those in our community — outside and within our practice. We’ve taken an extra step during December to give back to those who need it most.
Compassion and community-driven initiatives are at the heart of both our teammates and leaders, and we are excited to highlight their 25 Days of Giving initiative this year. Desert Radiology’s Do-Gooder’s, the practice philanthropic division, made it a goal to make a difference by donating $1,000 each day to one of 25 different local charities from the start of the month through December 25. While these charities vary in purpose, they all share one goal: to improve the lives of those they are committed to, a sentiment we share and strongly believe in supporting.
Our first week of the 25 Days of Giving initiative included donations of $1,000 each to Pawtastsic Friends, Project 150, Kline Veterans Fund, Goodie Two Shoes, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada and After-School All-Stars. Additional $1,000 contributions were made to Las Vegas Rescue Mission, The Animal Foundation, Nevada’s Partnership for Homeless Youth, Nevada Veterans Foundation, Street Teens and Habitat for Humanity the following week. Before Christmas day further donations will be made to The Blind Center, Adam’s Place, The Shade Tree, The LGBTQ Community of Southern Nevada, Firefighters of Southern Nevada, Grant a Gift for Autism Foundation and several other organizations.
Supporting local charities, whose mission for betterment we have faith in strengthens the relationships of our teammates and our Southern Nevada neighbors. It is our belief that the bonds of our Southern Nevada community have never been stronger!
Improving the lives of the community we serve is woven into the fabric of Desert Radiology’s identity. While we always strive to provide the best imaging services to all, we also challenge ourselves every day to find ways to help the Southern Nevada community outside of our practice doors. The 25 Days of Do-Gooders initiative was intended to set a goal for us to support several local charities at one time, who share our commitment to improve the quality of life of others. We believe the community that has stood by us for over 50 years was built on the foundation of lifting others up, and we plan to do our part in keeping that community growing strong for many years to come.
