Dr. Bartel graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in Okinawa, Japan in business with a minor in computers. She then went on to earn her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) Degree at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, where she again graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Dr. Bartel completed her medical school training in 2001, where she was on both the Provosts and Deans lists. She went on to complete her nuclear medicine residency at the University of Iowa in 2004. She went on to complete her fellowship in PET-CT at the University of Iowa in 2005. Dr. Bartel went back into residency to complete a radiology residency program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2014.
Prior to joining Desert Radiology, Dr. Bartel was an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and was the Director of the PET Imaging Department and the Chief of Nuclear Medicine. She also worked for Global Advanced Imaging as a radiologist, where she is also a Co-Owner.
Dr. Bartel joined Desert Radiology in 2016 as a teleradiologist. She lives in Little Rock Arkansas with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling and sports. She also is a soloist, songwriter, and keyboardist. Dr. Bartel speaks fluent Japanese (grew up in Okinawa, Japan).
