Dr. Tahir completed his undergraduate studies at Villanova University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 2005. Dr. Tahir received his osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. In 2016, he completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware. Dr. Tahir continued his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, completing a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship in 2017.
Prior to joining Desert Radiology, Dr. Tahir most recently worked as an Interventional & Diagnostic Radiologist at Kern Medical in Bakersfield, California. During his tenure, he served as the head of the CT Imaging subdivision. In 2020, Dr. Tahir was presented the Kern Medical GME Outstanding Department Faculty Award in 2020. Dr. Tahir has participated in numerous clinical research studies, contributed to many scholarly publications and scientific exhibits. He has also provided leadership on several tumor boards, grand rounds and quality initiatives, as well as, presented at several national radiological annual meetings.
Dr. Tahir joined Desert Radiology in 2020.
