Desert Radiology, a premier diagnostic imaging company headquartered in the Las Vegas Medical District, has announced it will partner with the Vegas Golden Knights as a community partner to provide imaging services for the team during the 2017-2018 season.
"We're thrilled to welcome the Golden Knights to Las Vegas, and we're proud to be their official imaging partner," said Richard Bodager, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Radiology. "We believe that the Golden Knights are going to be an institution in our community and feel it's important to show support and help to make their season a success by taking care of their most valuable resource: their players."
Under this agreement, Desert Radiology will provide diagnostic image services to the team members. Desert Radiology will work directly with the Golden Knights Medical Director, Dr. James Dettling, to provide onsite-imaging services during home games at T-Mobile Arena.
"Dr. James Dettling has extensive experience in the field of sports medicine, and I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him several times before," said Dr. Brian E. Schulz, MD, a board-certified radiologist and member of Desert Radiology's Executive Committee. "We are looking forward to working in partnership with Dr. Dettling to show support for our home team."
Desert Radiology has a long-standing history of providing support for Southern Nevada's athletic teams. The company has similar arrangements to provide imaging services to both UNLV athletics and the Las Vegas 51s. Bodager said it was important to continue this commitment with the debut of the city's first major league sports franchise.
"We are looking forward to this partnership and are thankful for the opportunity to show our excitement for the valley's first major league franchise while also demonstrating our continued support for the Las Vegas community," Bodager said.
Desert Radiology was founded in 1966 by Drs. Robert Taylor, Harris Knudson and James Lum. Since then, the company has grown within the Las Vegas community to become the area's chief resource for the highest quality diagnostic care.
